Sarah Palin’s Alleged ‘Partner’ Orders Divorce Records Sealed

On the heels of their outing John Edwards’ affair, the National Enquirer is sticking by claims that Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin cheated on her husband Todd with his former business partner. Now, Andrew Sullivan over at The Atlantic is claiming the rumored beau’s legal team has filed an emergency order to have his divorce records sealed.

Majority of Americans Agree that Transgender Employees Should be Judged by Job Performance, not Gender Identity
According to the 7th annual national Out & Equal Workplace Survey, seven out of ten heterosexual adults (71 percent) agree that how an employee performs at their job should be the standard for judging an employee, not whether or not they are transgender. The new survey also showed that nearly eight out of ten (79 percent) heterosexual adults strongly or somewhat agree that how an employee does his or her job should be the standard for judging an employee, not their sexual orientation.

Number of Companies with Top Rating for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Workers Jumps by One-Third
America Airlines, Cox Communications, Sun Life Financial among top-rated companies
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) has released the seventh annual Corporate Equality Index, which rates 583 businesses on a scale from 0 to 100 percent on their treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors. The 2009 edition of the CEI reports 259 businesses achieved a perfect score, a one-third increase over last year when the number was 195.

New Online Reporting Facility for UK Gay and Transgender Victims of Bullying

A new online reporting facility for victims of homophobic and transphobic bullying has been launched in the UK by Educational Action Challenging Homophobia (EACH). The scheme is available to young people throughout the UK, and to adults in the West Country of England. Meanwhile EACH’s UK-wide Actionline continues to provide ongoing support for any young person, giving them the opportunity to report homophobic bullying and seek confidential help and assistance.

Torrential Rain Forces Cancellation of Cardiff Gay Pride Events

Prolonged – and heavy – rain in South Wales has hit the Welsh capital of Cardiff, forcing cancellation of some events scheduled for the Gay Pride celebration on Saturday. Friday afternoon, organizers decided to cancel the activities in Coopers Field in Bute Park, which has flooded and is waterlogged. Organizers are working with local venues in a bid to ‘save’ some of the planned activities.

Even a hefty payout of $700,000 isn’t enough to lure Hollywood starlet and budding lesbian icon Lindsay Lohan to do another nude photo shoot. The 22-year-old actress has reportedly turned down a tasty offer from Playboy Magazine to pose naked for their 55th anniversary issue in January. Playboy had hoped Lohan would be willing do participate in a pictorial based on her favorite film, Kitten With a Whip, which starred classic 60’s pin-up actress Ann-Margret.

Gorgeous English gal Rachel Weisz had been voted Hollywood’s hottest actress in a poll of 4,000 British lesbians, according to The Sun. Weisz was voted top of the pack in the ‘Women We’d Love to Love’ survey, beating out second place finisher Nicole Kidman. Minnie Driver, Kate Winslet and Naomi Watts finished out the top five hottest ladies on the list.

Heart Not Pleased at Republican Choice of Sarah Palin Theme Song

Ann and Nancy Wilson, the musical duo also known as Heart, are not happy about the GOP choice of their song 'Barracuda' as the theme music for Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin. The Wilson sisters have lashed out at the John McCain/Sarah Palin campaign for using their song without their permission and demanded they stop the unauthorized usage immediately.
